ANSA and Lost Valley are working with coach Gretchen Slover to host 2 middle school ski races coming up in February. Past events have been fun and successful thanks to volunteers who fill many key roles before, during and after the event. This community service is right in line with our ANSA Mission of supporting nordic skiing of all types on our wonderful trails, and it's a fun time being out watching these kids give their all skiing along the trails.
Race dates are:
Saturday, February 5 at 12:30pm
Wednesday, February 16 at 1pm (the middle school state meet!).
Most roles start an hour or two before and continue through the event. Helpful tasks include course setup, start area coordination, and monitoring the course for any skiers in need of help.
