There is a group for more mature skiers that skis Wednesday mornings, hosted by The Outsiders, an outdoor adventure group under the umbrella of the LA Senior College.

Senior College members must be at least 50 years of age. Our annual (July1 to June 30) membership fee is currently $35.00.
The Outsiders include three'ish separate activity groups. Nordic Skiers (winter), Kayakers (summer) and Hikers (year round). The Hikers frequently break up into a couple of separate activity level subgroups and during the winter use snowshoes and microspikes, as appropriate. https://laseniorcollege.org/clubs/
Outsider members must fill out online registration, emergency contacts, release of liability and assumption of risk forms. We contact group leaders to let them know that we will be joining a day's activity.
We take care of each other. Old folks' bones break, ankles twist and things happen.
