Grooming and conditions

Trails are freshly groomed and taking shape with good tracks and skate lanes that are firming up as we work in the fresh snow. 

An honest foot of light snow fell overnight.

A surprise inch of snow was groomed to corduroy on skate lanes, and left alone in the tracks which will be silky smooth. 

Skate lanes were groomed yesterday and should ski well this week. 

Classic tracks are shallow in places but decent. 

A couple inches of snow and we’re back in business. All trails groomed for Sunday skiing. 

No grooming today. 

In this winter of lucky breaks, the surprise inch of snow that fell last evening was enough to coat our icy base with skiable snow.  Skate lanes are good, tracks are… meh. But it’s skiing!  Check it out. 

After a season of lucky breaks with the snow, we struck out last night. Just a crust of crud left on trails that took a beating in the recent warm weather.  Not good.  

This weekend won’t go down as your favorite skiing this winter - temps stay above freezing tonight so Saturday will be pretty soft.
