My ANSA friends, I'm afraid this wonderful, epic, snow-filled season is finally winding down. Believe it or not there's still snow on the trails - icy in the field but patches of decent down in the woods. We'd hoped for one more March dump but there's nothing on the horizon.
The Bates nordic team has led the way in late season skiing and fun - they were out yesterday afternoon in shorts and T shirts with a rousing game of ski tag to finish off the day. Made me smile just to watch and listen.
If you're up for a little shuffle on the sugar snow, head out the new trail (4A: Bob's Foray) to get into the woods and enjoy.
Please avoid walking on the trails til the snow is all gone, but once trails dry out a bit they're great for walking all summer and fall.
Spring board meeting will be in early May - I'll send out an invitation. All are welcome.
