The blanket of fresh snow sweetens up the view, but is not enough for skiing just yet.  Trails are all cleared from the Christmas storm, with several trees and countless branches downed.  The Water's Edge trail became Water's Bottom as water flowed over much of the course, sweeping both bridges off their sites.  One is replaced, one still hung up in Lapham Brook.

January snow conditions are traditionally sketchy, with this year on the frustrating end of that spectrum. Now is the time for some snow dances - get busy!  Let's pull for this next storm to get us back on the trails.

In the mean time, it's fine to walk on the ski and snowshoe trails, although you might want some Yak Tracks on to prevent slipping on ice now hidden by the snow.

Come on snow!
