Sighhhhhhh….. I admit it’s hard not to get a little excited about spring, but I sure will miss that sweet silky feeling of gliding across snow on skis. There’s nothing like it. And it keeps us crazies optimistically coming back every year to ride the ups and downs of winter weather’s unpredictability, waiting to savor the great moments between the…. Not so great ones.

Unless we get a surprise late season snow (see? There’s a little hope creeping in!) we’ve set our last tracks and groomed our last corduroy. There’s still a few days of skiing on the surprising amount of snow in the woods, and if you wait til temps top freezing, the snow softens up nicely. After this weekend I suspect the field will be bare.

Please consider volunteering (or participating!) in the ski cross event at Lost Valley Sunday March 23. Supporting this sort of late winter fun is right in line with our ANSA mission.
