We’ll leave the trail system alone today - they’re likely pretty soft, and it would be best to stay off them if you can resist. Tomorrow morning we’ll work on softening up the skate lanes for the weekend, and seeing if we can set new tracks for what should be decent skiing all weekend.
I presume I’m not the only one feeling like these are not the snowy winters we remember from childhood. The warm days are lovely, but make for challenging and labor intensive grooming after it freezes the next morning. Fortunately the equipment we have does as good a job as any at transforming the crust into a decent surface for good skiing. We’ll keep at it as long as you keep enjoying the skiing!
