Weekend Activities (January 28-29)

Despite a tragic storm that I thought might put our ski season on hold, I think we will survive.  Amos and Steve's preliminary report is that tomorrow they hope to be able to turn the pavement-like layer of ice into some decent skate lanes.  It will be very fast, and there are still some water hazards, so please use appropriate caution.

Conditions and grooming (January 26, 2017)

Our plan is to resume grooming Friday morning.  Even though conditions are not ideal it looks like we have a little colder weather coming.  Our goal is to open up some skating first.   We really need some new snow for setting an acceptable track.

Conditions and grooming (January 25, 2017)

Trails are closed today due to warm and wet conditions.  It would help if people would stay off the ski trails.   We need to let trails drain and firm up before grooming continues which will probably be Friday morning.

Conditions and grooming (January 24, 2017)

Ski trails are closed today due to forecast.  Warming conditions and liquid rain later today.

Conditions and grooming (January 22, 2017)

No new grooming today due to our continued winter thaw.  Ricker's field is still in good shape with 100% coverage.  Old track still present with soft skating lane.  Wood's trails are going to be soft with some washouts.  Best bet is waxless skis.  Return to winter tomorrow should allow us to make for some excellent skating in the field.
